Urban Decay Electric Mermaid Makeup

Hey ladies! Are we loving mermaid week?

I was so excited to use the Urban Decay Electric pallet to create a fun mermaid look for you this week!

Here's how I created the Mermaid look on Melinda:

Using the electric palette for the eyes.  I used pinks and purples for the eyelids (savage, jilted, urban)  and all the green/blue colors(chaos, freak, thrash, fringe)  for the lower lash line.  We decided to use the Urban Decay palette, because the colors were perfect for this look! I really think this palette is perfect for fun looks and with Halloween around the corner this would be a perfect palette to add to your collection.

However, you can use any palette you have as long as they're shimmery eye shadows ;)

I also used the NYX vivid bright liner in “vivid blossom”

I added some lashes and mascara, on the lower lashes I applied some NYX liquid crystal glitter. Which I also added to one of her brows.

On the other brow we glued some sequences on using a little costume makeup glue.

For the lashes; I applied wispie lashes by Ardell.

For the face I used orgasm by NARS to mark contour the face. After that I grabbed the colors “jilted” and “urban” from the electric palette and stared contouring the face. Carving the cheekbones and the forehead into the hairline.

For the scales you can use anything fishnet. Like pantyhose or wig cap. In this case I used the small bag of Baybel cheese. Lol looked good enough for me haha you can also use the bag avocados and potatoes come with. Always add the darkest color and blend into the fishnet for a smooth finish ;)

Lastly, for the lips, anything goes really I did an ombré effect with my favorite lip liner “magenta” and the Revlon pink lipstick. If you want to learn more about lip liner tricks don't forget to check out the last blog post ;)

so fun! it's always fun for me to create out of the ordinary looks, and this would be perfect if you're planning to dress up as a mermaid this Halloween! Which is one of my favorite holidays, so you can definitely expect a ton of Halloween looks coming the following weeks!
